NEWHALL, Calif., April 20, 2022 -- Honoring its commitment to provide a welcoming environment for everyone in the communities it serves, Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary, a local Dignity Memorial® provider, announced the grand opening of its newest section, the Garden of Artsakh, designed specifically to honor traditions and beliefs in the Armenian culture.
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary, 23287 N. Sierra Highway, Newhall, CA 91321. The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
The garden is a tribute to the Mountain people of Karabakh. A 9-foot high monument, the only replica of its kind, is a symbol of the grand parents of that reign. Also known as the “Tatik-papik”, which translates to grandmother and grandfather. His Eminence the Archbishop Hovnan Derderian will bless the monument. There are over 300 interment spaces for family members to be interred and re-membered throughout time. We will provide memorial cards for people to complete and hang on the trees that will be present at the grand opening.
“The Garden of Artsakh is an example of our dedication to understanding, working with, and serving the diverse cultures of our neighbors and the communities we serve. Eternal Valley Memorial Park looks forward to celebrating with our community members.”
