Win Place Home provides retired racehorses with a calm, compassionate, and professional transition from racing into safe and meaningful second careers and lifelong futures. Through individualized care, patient horsemanship, rehabilitation, retraining, and rehoming, we help Thoroughbreds build successful lives beyond the racetrack.

At the same time, we create opportunities for people to connect with horses through equine-guided experiences that encourage awareness, nervous system regulation, reflection, and personal growth.

Our mission is to create safe transitions for retired racehorses while building meaningful programs that allow those same horses to become teachers, partners, and guides for the people they meet. Every horse cared for, every fence repaired, every adoption completed, every clinic hosted, every retreat participant served, and every life touched contributes to the creation of a permanent sanctuary where horses and humans help one another move forward.

Many organizations focus solely on horse rescue. Many retreats focus solely on human wellness. Win Place Home exists at the intersection of both. The horses are not tools. The horses are not attractions. The horses are not employees. The horses are residents of the sanctuary. Some will move on to adoptive homes. Some may remain long-term members of the herd.

At its fullest expression, Win Place Home will be a permanent equine aftercare and healing campus where retired racehorses are given the time, space, and support they need to transition successfully into their next chapter, while also becoming partners in helping humans navigate change, burnout, grief, uncertainty, and renewal.
