About William S. Hart Union High School District
The William S. Hart Union High School District, commonly known as Hart District, serves more than
20,000 students in grades 7–12 across the Santa Clarita Valley. United as “One Hart,” the District is
driven by a shared commitment to every student’s success, offering exceptional academics, diverse
extracurriculars, and personalized learning pathways that prepare students not just for graduation, but for a lifetime of opportunity.
Hart District includes seven comprehensive high schools, six junior high schools, an early college high school, an independent study program that offers virtual, blended, and home school options, a
continuation school, and an adult school. Across all campuses, students are empowered to explore
their interests, grow with confidence, and thrive in an inclusive, future-ready environment.
Recognized as an Exemplary District by the California Department of Education, Hart schools have
earned numerous honors, including California Distinguished School and Gold Ribbon Awards, National Blue-Ribbon recognition, and multiple Golden Bell Awards for excellence in student support and innovation. Six of the District’s high schools are consistently ranked among the Best High Schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, and The Washington Post.
